oooh Christmas Days are over but there`s still another event that we, fasyon girls are excited about, NEW YEAR! It`s one of the best seasons to dress up and it`s just a day away! Can`t think of the perfect dress to wear to that countdown party? You might as well hit the mall after reading this, or go click SEND ORDER FORM on your favorite online store.
As you can see in many stores this season (say Zara, Topshop, Dorothy Perkins, Warehose, etc.) there`s this top or dress that always catches your attention. Yes my dear ladies, those are called SEQUINS. they`re my fave right now. And I`ve YET to find the perfect GOLD/BRONZE SEQUINED DRESS of my own.
You see, dressing up for a special occasion can be tough, so when in doubt, wear sequins! I suggest, don`t think about the comfort, coz it`s not always about comfort. Sometimes, you have to consider the style and the OOH-factor.
Here are simple steps on how wear that Perfect Sequin Dress to your festive occasion:
- Don`t wear too much sequin. You`ll look O-VER. Just tone it down to one item at a time.
- Try layering your sequin top or dress with black tights underneath. Finish it off with that over-the-top fierce heels.
- Keep your make-up and hair on the low key. You do not want your friends to be confused as to where to look (plus you might look like a drag queen if you wear too much make up). Just put on neutral make-up(a nude lipstick would be the best!) and that I-just-got-up-from-bed hair.
- Keep your accessories simple. A huge cocktail ring and a clutch would do.
